What are money beliefs?
Money beliefs are the often-unspoken assumptions and emotional associations that influence how we earn, spend, save, share and discuss money. They can be shaped by childhood, family messages, culture and our own financial experiences.
A belief can sound positive while still being unhelpful. For example, associating visible wealth with success may encourage overspending or comparison. Equally, caution about debt can be constructive when it supports thoughtful decisions rather than fear or avoidance.
This tool explores how constructive your current beliefs may be across eight themes. It is a conversation starter, not a diagnosis, compatibility test or financial assessment.

Questions about the money beliefs tool
What does the score mean?
The Constructive Money Beliefs Score reflects whether your responses tend to support openness, flexibility, shared decision-making and financial wellbeing. A higher score is not proof that one partner is better with money.
Will my partner see every answer?
No. The shared results compare themes and patterns rather than listing every response. You can choose what you want to discuss.
Can my partner complete it somewhere else?
Yes. Partner one can copy a partner link after viewing their private results. The link contains the scored answers in its URL fragment so they are not sent to our server. Share it privately: anyone who receives the link could complete the second questionnaire and view the combined theme comparison.
Are our answers saved?
No. Answers remain in this browser tab and are cleared when you reset or close it. The tool does not ask for names, account details or financial figures.
